The Earle Outreach Program
As part of the Earle commitment to the communities that all of us live and work in, we have formed The Earle Outreach Program. Some of the many positive things our employees and us have done recently are:
- Much needed support was given to several American Cancer Society events. One event targeted conquering Breast Cancer and was held in Point Pleasant. We also donated needed supplies to The Cancer Ball held in Middletown. It is their annual fundraiser that brought in nearly $2,000,000 in 2007. In addition to this we also made a substantial monetary donation to the Brick Athletic League which was raising money for the American Cancer Society.
- Our annual scholarship award went to Amada Smith, a deserving Jackson Township High School Graduate. Amada earned The Walter R. Earle Scholarship and is now attending The University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering.
- Sponsorship of the annual Jackson PBA Golf Outing. This event raises money to help officers and their families in times of need.
- Jackson Township Kiwanis Club received a donation in support of Patrolmen of the Year Robert Reiff, James Anuario, Wayne Olejarz and Mitch Conit.
- We lit the night for the Jackson Memorial High School Band Competition by providing lighting equipment and generators for the event.
- A monetary donation to the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company continues to keep the residents of Jackson Township safe.
- We made a donation in support of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation. The money that is being raised goes towards a memorial that is being constructed in honor of those who died in this war.
- We provided personnel, materials and equipment to Jackson Township to make some last minute improvements to Johnson Park in preparation for Jackson’s annual 4th of July celebration. The celebration brought in over 10,000 Jackson residents and was touted as Jackson’s most successful ever. The Earle Companies also made a monetary donation to the Jackson Recreation Trust Fund to help pay for the fireworks at this event.
- Sponsor of the Brick Summer Fest which provides free concerts on Windward Beach, once a week, all summer long.
- Sponsorship of the Clubs for the Cure event. This event, in participation with The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer was able to raise over a million dollars.
- We provided sponsorship for an athlete running the NY City Marathon. The donations went to finding a cure for Cancer. Our runner, Adam Davis, finished the 26 mile marathon in 5 hours 15 minutes.
- Event sponsorship for Monmouth Academy, formerly Lakewood Prep, scholarship fund. The program continues to thrive and give scholarships for the less fortunate.
- Event sponsorship for The Pine Beach 5k. This event helps fund college scholarships for local high school students. To date it has awarded 24 college scholarships in the past nine years.
- We are a sponsor of the Monsignor Donavan baseball team for the 2008 season.
- Earle was a Headline Sponsor of the Chase for Life Foundation an Annual Event in Red Bank NJ. This organization focuses on training new mothers on proper child care. They have made great strides in recent years in getting their program mandated by many area hospitals, as well as others across the country.
- Full event sponsorship of The WRAT Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. This annual event helps collect food for the Monmouth and Ocean County food shelters to help provide for those less fortunate. Not only did The Earle Companies provide all of the funding necessary for WRAT to hold this event, but our employees, customers and friends rallied to gather enough food to fill a 20’ box trailer that was delivered to the WRAT Main Food drive location. Thanks and congratulations to the entire Earle Team, our friends and customers who helped to make this a successful event.
- Hosted a tour of The Earle Companies Jackson Plant for a local Jackson Boy Scout Troop. All guests were treated to refreshments and were given Earle Companies T-shirts, along with Construction Hard Hats and a host of other goodies. The boys were escorted around the facility where they were educated on various operations of the organization.
-
Corporate Sponsor of two teams, comprised of Earle employees, for the Relay for Life event held in Lacey, NJ. This annual event raises money for the American Cancer Society.
